Who I Am

Dr. Sarah Culligan is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered psychologist. She has over ten years clinical experience working with clients across the lifespan in various settings.

Dr. Culligan’s clinical experience includes work with individuals, couples and group. She has predominantly worked in a forensic setting where she has conducted various assessments and prepared reports for the courts. These have included violent and sexual risk assessments, cognitive and adaptive functioning assessments, domestic violence assessments, fitness to plead assessments, medico-legal assessments, and ASD and ADHD assessments.

Dr. Culligan has also worked therapeutically with clients in her private practice. She works in an integrative and collaborative manner with the client to facilitate deeper insight which translates into real world changes.

Dr. Culligan believes in creating a safe container for the client where they are met with compassion and nonjudgement. She also believes and trusts that each client has their own inner resources to lead a life that is fulfilling to them, but may need external support to help in accessing these.

Dr. Culligan believes in meeting each client where they are at and recognises that there is no one size fits all when it comes to therapy.
